Barracks

So how many of you are wishing you had listened when I said make a minimum of 10 Barracks per city? This is a must! A common mistake newbies make is making 20 cottages and 3 barracks. The barracks is where you train workers, scouts, and troops. The higher level the barracks the better units you can train. When you click to recruit a certain type of troop, ALWAYS check the box that says SPLIT production. This spreads the workload evenly amongst your barracks. So, instead of it taking 7 hours to train 500 archers, it will take about 45 minutes. Every city must have 10 to 12 barracks!!!!!!!! This is a war game....the barracks is KEY. You can also dismiss troops in the barracks. Say you recruited 1000 pikemen, but decided you would rather have archers. Click the red circle on the pikemans picture and then choose the amount you want to dismiss. You will get some of the resources back and can now build some archers.
